CAROL NANTOGO ISSUES STRONG WARNING AGAINST RUMORS LINKING HER TO MALE ARTISTS
Carol Nantongo has issued a stern warning to the public to stop linking her romantically with male artists she associates with. This comes after a video surfaced on social media showing Nantongo and fellow singer Grenade Official during a gym session. The video, which depicted the pair enjoying their upcoming 'Tosalawo remix,' quickly turned controversial as Ugandans flooded the comment section with assumptions about a romantic relationship between the two. “People were saying things like he was done with me and that I was loose. These statements are baseless and annoying because they don't know me. I won’t go out of my way to convince everyone that I don't just date anyone who shows interest,” she stated angrily. Grenade Official, who had previously kept his love life private, recently posted a clip with his girlfriend, confirming his relationship status. His appearance in the gym with Carol Nantongo was clearly about music collaboration and not romance. “What do you people think we are? We are human too and I won’t stop having male friends just because of what you say. Someone can write a comment and claim they have proof, but it's disrespectful and false,” she added. Nantongo expressed frustration over the need to reconsider public interactions with male friends to avoid baseless rumors. “We might reach a point where we avoid being seen with others because every time we do, people assume we’re romantically involved.
