MAMA MOSES RADIO PLEADS FOR HELP TO SAVE FAMILY LAND IN NAKAWUKA
In an emotional appeal, Mama Moses Radio, the mother of the late Ugandan musician Radio, has shared the family's struggle to secure a piece of land adjacent to the house Radio built for her and his final resting place in Nakawuka, Kagga. The land, valued at 350 million Ugandan Shillings (UGX), has become a pressing concern for the family. I was told the land is 350M UGX. The owner has been patient and never pressured us because I asked for more time since the land price had not yet appreciated," Mama Moses Radio explained. "Bryan White had promised to help us buy the land, but he ran out of money and left us. This year, the owner came and told me he wants the land to construct a foundation." Mama Moses Radio recounted her conversation with the landowner, where she expressed her inability to stop the construction since the land legally belongs to him. "I asked him to give me more time to look for the money. If he builds a wall fence, I will not be able to pray for my son Radio again, and his visitors will not be able to visit him." Since the beginning of the year, the family has been tirelessly seeking assistance to purchase the land. Mama Moses Radio reached out to several people, including musician Eddy Kenzo, who promised to visit and offer support. However, despite her persistent efforts, she has yet to receive any tangible help. The family of the late Radio has faced financial instability since his passing, making it challenging to secure the land that holds sentimental and practical importance. The land in question lies between the house Radio built for his mother and his resting place, a significant spot for the family to honor his memory. Mama Moses Radio and her family are appealing to anyone who can help them purchase the land, ensuring that they can continue to visit and pay their respects to the beloved musician. For those willing to assist, your support can make a significant difference in preserving Radio's legacy and providing his family with the stability they need. Stay tuned to Ugflavor for more updates on this heartfelt plea and how you can help.
