SOCIALITE SIPAPA REMANDED TO LUZIRA AS LEGAL BATTLE CONTINUES: TRIAL DATE SET FOR NOVEMBER
The legal saga surrounding Ugandan music promoter and socialite Charles Olimu, popularly known as Sipapa, continues to unfold. After a recent court session, Sipapa found himself back in Luzira Prison, awaiting trial on charges related to aggravated robbery. Let’s delve into the latest developments. On August 28, 2022, a robbery took place in Bunga, a suburb of Kampala. Sipapa stands accused of masterminding this aggravated robbery. The victims reportedly lost substantial amounts of cash, mobile phones, and other valuable items during the incident. Legal Battle Intensifies: Since September 2022, Sipapa has been in custody, facing these serious charges. His legal team remains optimistic, believing that the court proceedings are leaning in their favor. The Makindye Chief Magistrates Court has set a trial date for November 18, 2024.
